Community Engagement committee

The Community Engagement Committee is who looks after volunteers, members, and off-site events to raise awareness of Quest Art’s programming and events.

We are looking for volunteers to help in these ways:

  • Calling members whose membership is about to expire or has expired.
  • Calling volunteers to verify and ensure up-to-date information.
  • Attending off-site events to talk about Quest Art or lead simple art activities.
  • Help organise volunteer appreciation events on-site and off.

Time needed is roughly 1-2 hours per week and varies by season.

Education committee

The Education Committee is an essential part of Quest Art as we are first and foremost, an art school.

There are two Education Committees – Adult Education and Youth Education.

We are looking for volunteers to help with:

  • Supporting the Adult Education Committee organise programming for adults.
  • Supporting the Youth Education Committee organise programming for-
    • Teens
    • Tween
    • Families
    • School outreach (visiting schools)
    • School trips to Quest Art

Volunteer duties can vary depending on the age range, but could involve calling instructors, following up with previous instructors to verify information, assisting in classes as a teaching aide.

Time needed is roughly 1-2 hours per week and will vary by season.

Angel Gate Bingo

As a registered organisation with Angel Gate Bingo, we are able to receive funding through Delta Bingo’s charity gaming programme.

For each assignment of 2 hours, Quest Art needs to provide two volunteers to support staff at Delta Bingo and welcome guests.

This is a vital source of funding for Quest Art and as we don’t schedule our assignments, it’s important to have a reliable group of volunteers to call on when we are needed at Delta Bingo.

If you can volunteer just two hours a month, please get in touch at getinvolved@questart.ca

Every volunteer will need to do an online training of 45 minutes and shadow an experienced volunteer before they’re able to start. So, don’t worry – training is provided!

Summer Camp: Instructors

Quest Art is looking for volunteers to support instructors in class at Quest Art.

We need volunteers for 2-4 hours each day for the following camps:

  • July 3rd to July 7th (Mon-Fri)
  • July 10th to July 14th (Mon-Fri)
  • July 24th to July 28th (Mon-Fri)
  • More to be confirmed!

Volunteers will mainly help with supporting students with their art activities, supervising them during lunch (if applicable), and supporting the instructor with distributing materials.

Students

Students can get involved with Quest Art and discover fun and engaging ways to explore art, get community volunteer hours, meet other creative people or even complete your co-op credit! We would love to have your insight and energy here at Quest! Please contact getinvolved@questart.ca.

Volunteer Application

Volunteers are the backbone of Quest Art and are engaged in all facets of our organization. Whether you are interested in joining our volunteer team, it’s been a while since you last volunteered, or simply have questions about volunteering with Quest Art, please get in touch at getinvolved@questart.ca.

For all the volunteer roles, whether at Quest Art School + Gallery or off-site, training is provided. There is no experience necessary to help out here at Quest.

This is to help us when contacting volunteers for off-site events.
