 Volunteer opportunities

Volunteering with Quest Art means shining at what you do best – behind the scenes or up front! We do our utmost to ensure that our volunteers’ talents and time are used in their areas of interest and expertise. You could:

  • teach a workshop or join a team for a specific project
  • take part in special events or join a committee
  • help as a Quest Art Ambassador
  • if you are a student, you can get your volunteer hours with us

Current Opportunities include:

  • Quest for Sound – video production showcasing local musicians and talent
  • Creative Connections – demo videos of simple art projects for use by community artwork
  • Community Artwork – Crosswalk mural project in Wyevale
  • Connecting with local artisans and crafters
  • Quest Art Ambassadors
  • Gallery Attendants

Gallery Attendant Information:

Sharing and interpreting art are two very different things, and both are very subjective. If you enjoy learning about art, and sharing perspectives with others we could use you!  Quest Art has three permanent galleries with rotating exhibitions hi-lighting established, emerging and member artists. Volunteer Gallery Attendants welcome visitors to the galleries, provide a bit of background on the exhibits and Quest Art, and address any questions they may have. You need not be an art expert to be an attendant, simply someone willing to learn a bit about the exhibitions, and  someone who enjoys sharing conversation with others. Information about exhibiting artists and their work will be provided, and flexible gallery shifts typically run 2-3 hours, based on your availability.

Quest Art has several active committees ranging such as Audience Engagement, Volunteer, Make Art. Membership, Community Partners and Fundraising. If you think you might be interested in getting involved on a committee please contact us at

Students can get involved with Quest Art and discover fun and engaging ways to explore art, get community volunteer hours, meet other creative people or even complete your co-op credit! Please contact

What Else?

We communicate with our volunteers on a quarterly basis about ongoing projects, and monthly about specific projects where volunteers are needed in the shorter term.

The quarterly communique is titled ConversationsIn this message we share the big picture on Quest activities in the current and coming months. You can find the most recent edition here.

The monthly communique is titled Chat and it is where we ask for specific help with current projects, detailing the What When Where Why and Who to contact if you can help out. You can find the most recent edition here and here.

Read what our current and past volunteers have said about their experiences with Quest here.

We all know that communication is only effective when it runs in both directions, and with this in mind, we encourage input from all members and volunteers.
