Adam Podolski
Youth Education
Adam serves as the Director of Youth Engagement and Education at Quest. In his role, he oversees initiatives with Quest’s Youth Committee to engage young people in artistic and educational experiences. He is also an illustrator, author, editor, philosopher, poet, teacher, and curriculum theorist, publishing under the name Adam Garry Podolski. Significant works include illustrating Ashwani Kumar’s multi-author volume titled Engaging with Meditative Inquiry in Teaching, Learning, and Research. The book explores African, Asian, Buddhist, Western, and Indigenous spirituality, perspectives, and practices using meditative inquiry. His poetry is included in the refereed collection Language, Land and Belonging, which takes up themes presented at the 7th International Symposium on Poetic Inquiry (ISPI) in which participants focused on the United Nations declaration of 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages. He co-edited the book Influences and Inspirations in Curriculum Studies Research and Teaching: Reflections on the Origins and Legacy of Contemporary Scholarship, which frequents Amazon’s Best Sellers in Educational Philosophy Textbooks. Adam has been a guest editor for the Journal of Canadian Curriculum Studies and served as a member of the Canadian group within the Maxine Greene Institute, which promotes aesthetic philosophy, education, and social imagination. He is a proud father, partner, and pet lover; his dog’s name is Bourbon.
