Position: Project Manager, “Petite Picassos” Program Roll-Out (Digital and In-Person)
Duration: 6 months (November, 2024 to May, 2025)
Location: Quest Art School + Gallery (333 King Street, Midland, ON)
Rate of Pay: Commensurate with leadership, technical and marketing experience

Purpose of Position

“Petite Picasso’s” is a visual arts pilot project developed by Quest Art School + Gallery to engage local children and their families. The Project Manager will oversee every facet of the development, implementation, and evaluation of these innovative in-person and digital and select in-person courses. 

Duties and Responsibilities

As the Project Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive project strategy to successfully design, launch, and manage the “Petite Picassos” Program. This multifaceted strategy will encompass all aspects of curriculum and content development for each learning module, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and community needs. You will facilitate collaboration with professional content creation teams, including film production specialists, to produce high-quality instructional materials that engage and inspire participants. The strategy will also incorporate a thorough pre-launch and post-launch marketing framework aimed at generating significant interest and momentum for the program, fostering ongoing community engagement and participation. Additionally, you will prepare and manage a detailed budget that supports the effective rollout of all components of the program, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently.

Your tactical efforts will include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Establish a dynamic Project Committee with professional representation from within the organization and the community at large (e.g., teachers, parents, School Board officials, etc.) to act as a reference group that lends insight and expertise to inform each phase of the project roll-out

  • Lead the recruitment process for qualified instructors, ensuring a diverse range of expertise to deliver high-quality courses that align with the desired curriculum as identified by the Project Committee and meet community needs

  • Work closely with the Project Committee and third-party professionals (as required) to conceptualize, develop, and produce engaging video content for the individual courses, leveraging digital platforms such as Zoom, Vimeo, and YouTube to enhance the learning experience

  • Compose comprehensive reports that outline project progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations for future efforts/initiatives, facilitating informed decision-making and continuous improvement 

  • Plan, implement, and oversee all traditional and digital marketing efforts to promote courses, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach across multiple channels. This includes creating strategic marketing campaigns that encompass social media, email, print, and community outreach

  • Lead and manage social media marketing strategies to effectively attract and engage target audiences, ensuring the courses are prominently featured across various platforms to maximize reach and participation. Analyze social media metrics to refine strategies and improve engagement as required 

  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and production of all creative assets for the project, including marketing materials, course content, promotional graphics, and digital media as required. This includes overseeing the creative process from initial ideation through final execution, ensuring that all assets are engaging, visually appealing, and effectively communicating the value of the digital art courses to the target audience

  • Design and implement strategies to build and cultivate a robust email subscriber list, utilizing compelling lead magnets and opt-in pages to enhance audience engagement and retention

  • Create and distribute visually appealing digital correspondence (e.g., newsletters, e-blasts, etc.) for a waiting list, fostering consistent communication and implementing customer engagement strategies that drive interest and participation

  • Ensure the seamless delivery of all course materials through online platforms like Kajabi, maintaining high standards of accessibility and user experience for participants

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of course engagement metrics and performance data, utilizing insights to refine content delivery and marketing strategies, ultimately enhancing participant satisfaction and course effectiveness
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, Arts Administration, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing strategies and community engagement. Demonstrated success in planning and executing comprehensive marketing campaigns across multiple platforms

  • Strong background in developing and implementing strategic plans that drive program success. Ability to analyze market trends and community needs to inform course offerings and marketing approaches

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse community groups, including educators, artists, and local organizations

  • Experience in fostering collaboration and participation within the community

  • Experience in curriculum and content development, with a keen understanding of the creation of engaging and effective educational materials. Familiarity with video production and content creation for online platforms is essential

  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

  • Ability to conduct detailed analyses of marketing metrics and course engagement data, using insights to refine strategies and improve program effectiveness. Proficient in using analytics tools to track performance and inform decision-making.

  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as Kajabi, Zoom, Vimeo, and YouTube

  • Proficiency in social media management tools and email marketing software

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create visually appealing digital correspondence, including newsletters and promotional materials that resonate with the target audience

  • Proven experience in preparing and managing budgets for projects, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support all program facets

  • Strong leadership qualities with experience in building and managing diverse teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and effectively address challenges as they arise, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving
