October 10th, 16th and 23rd from 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Members: $130 Non-members: $150 Strengthen your composition and design skills through a series of painting and collage exercises that challenge you to think and create in new ways. This is ideal for all level of artists, working in any media and genre. We will be designing a series of small sketches working primarily in black and white.
About the instructor: Sharon is an experienced painter & an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists, the Ontario Society of Artists & the Polar Art Group. She has her Masters of Education & has over 30 years of teaching experience. For 5 years, she was the teacher/artist-in-residence on expedition cruises in the Arctic & Antarctic
Materials are to be brought by participants and are listed as follows:
Ring bound sketchbook (I use Fabriano 7.5in x 10in, minimum 110 pound) Sheet of heavy print or watercolour paper Black India ink or fluid acrylic or high flow acrylic Acrylic paint: black or black gesso white or white gesso 1 transparent colour which we’ll discuss 1 inch brush masking tape (I use Frog) pencil black marker white pen/marker (Posca is great) exacto knife card to make viewfinder-mat board is good, a cereal box will do gloss medium of glue stick table cover Please note, a minimum number of participants is required at least 1 week prior to the event for it to go ahead. *All sales of event and workshop tickets are final. Refunds are not offered unless the event or workshop is cancelled by Quest Art.
