Artists: Michele Karch-Ackerman, Jeanette Luchese & Tina Poplawski
The title of the exhibition is from a quote by Zelda Fitzgerald, an accomplished author, dancer and artist who has been relegated to history as the tragic, mentally unstable muse of F. Scott.
In full it is "No one, not even the poets, know how much a heart can hold." The artists in this exhibition have encountered experiences as caregivers for loved ones, with the work being created in response to those experiences including the challenges and the moments of grace and love that transcend illnesses. This exhibition will offer opportunities for educational activities, community participatory activities, panel discussions and workshops responding to the theme to take place during the exhibition.
Quest's Executive Director Virginia Eichhorn is joined by Michelle Karch-Akerman, Jeanette Luchese and Tina Poplawski for an artist conversation about the exhibition "Not Even The Poets."
The title comes from Zelda Fitzgerald’s quote “No one can measure, not even the poets, how much the heart can hold." This exhibition deals with love, loss, memory, commemoration & healing.
