Awenda Inspired Returns: En Plein Air

All skill levels and any media.

Come to Awenda with the materials needed to paint, sketch or take pictures. You may want to bring an easel, a folding chair & a lunch. The fee is by car: senior $14.50, regular $18.00. A day pass can be bought on line up to 5 days before the date at https://www.ontarioparks.com/dayuse/getapermit. Arriving at the park, we meet at the Trail & Activity Centre where Tim Tully, Chief Park Naturalist, will give a brief introduction & provide coffee & snacks. Explore, Kettle’s Lake & the four beaches, being inspired by what the Group of Seven painted – Awenda’s spectacular fall scenery.

On November 1st, you have the opportunity to bring your Awenda creations to Quest, to be exhibited in the mezzanine.

Deb Grisé specializes in oil landscape paintings, and her working style varies from contemporary impressionism to abstracted simplicity. Deb’s art adventures take her to the beautiful regions of Ontario, such as Georgian Bay, Killarney, Algonquin, and Muskoka. Her inspiration comes from light, colour and the rhythm of nature. Her experiences include art instruction, gallery owner, leadership and volunteer work in art organizations and event co-ordination. She works from her home near downtown Barrie.
